This was my first collaboration with Bernardo Kastrup (aka The Byte Attic). He’d put a shout-out on Twitter in July 2021 for someone to port Microsoft Basic to a new computer board he’d developed called the Cerberus 2080, so called because like it’s mythical namesake, it has three heads in the form of three CPUs – Z80, 65C02 and ATmega328p.

My name was recommended by a couple of Twitter users as I’d already ported BBC BASIC for Z80 to my homebrew BSX computer and was in the process of porting it to the Spectrum Next.

Long story short Bernardo shipped me a board and I ported BBC BASIC for Z80 to it.
