I started this blog with good intentions; to keep it snappy and witty and most of all up to date. I can only apologise for not having posted more often, but I have very good reasons for this…

Back in the day I used to spend every waking hour programming computers. From the age of 11 I would lock myself in my bedroom for hours on end learning to program my first computer, a Sinclair ZX-81.

I did occasionally surface for food and socialising but my life generally consisted of wake, school, food, homework, program, sleep. Sounds sad, but who’s laughing now. Oh you are. Never mind.

Anyway, my life these days is more complicated. School has been replaced by work; that’s easier though as I already know everything I need to do my job and am not being forced to learn about things I will never need to know. Besides there is always Google.

It’s the whole programming thing though. That slot is now filled with stuff like family life, socialising, being dad’s taxi, helping run a local scouts group and more TV channels than you can shake a stick at.

So you can see that I don’t really get much chance to program any more, or indeed keep my blog up-to-date. And for that I apologise.
