Writing this blog has got me thinking about how my career was heavily influenced by my peers, specifically a couple of friends from school; Andy Miah & Ben Jackson.

Andy and I were both into programming the Spectrum. I was encouraged by Andy’s enthusiasm and skill and have no doubts that if I was not involved in competitive software development with Andy I would not be working in IT today.

Ben is a mutual friend and the artist of the three of us. I guess he kind of got involved in computer games by association but kindly provided me with graphics and more importantly constructive criticism of code and game play.

There have been other influences along the way, direct and indirect, but these two guys laid the foundations for my career…
